Hillside Art Studio SUMMER Camp

Discover art in nature, and explore nature through art! Our small-group Summer Camp invites children to experience the world with curiosity and creativity. Let your child spend the holiday creating, discovering, and growing.

❋ Nature Observation

Step into the yard, observe the colors of the season, plant forms, and the play of light and shadow. Help children learn to “see nature” and build a connection with the natural world.

❋ Artistic Creativity

Plant rubbing, watercolor sketching, rock painting, natural material installation, land art creation. A variety of materials and mediums inspire imagination and creativity.

❋ Outdoor Exploration & Physical Experience

Planting, treasure hunts, cooperative games, and nature exploration. Play through art, grow through play.

❋ Sense of Achievement & Expression

Connect art with everyday life.
Special closing event – “Our Natural Art Museum” Children set up the exhibition and explain their own works, experiencing the joy of being seen and appreciated.

❋ Nature Knowledge Enlightenment

Learn about soil, rocks, the origin of paper, and natural structures. Discover nature-based artistic expression.

2. Tuition & Payment Policy

  • A $100 deposit is required at registration to reserve your child’s spot.

  • The Studio will contact families approximately six weeks before camp to arrange payment of the remaining balance.

  • Deposits and all payments are non-refundable.

  • Refunds, credits, or make-up days are not available for:

    • Absences

    • Illness

    • Schedule conflicts

    • Early withdrawal

    • Missed days for any reason

If the remaining balance is not received by the requested deadline, the Studio may release the spot to another family.

3. Health, Allergies & Special Needs

  • Lunch will be provided. If you prefer your child to bring lunch from home, please notify the Studio in advance.

  • The Parent confirms that the Child is in good physical and emotional health and capable of participating in camp activities.

  • Parents must notify the Studio in writing before camp begins regarding:

    • Food allergies

    • Medical conditions

    • Behavioral concerns

    • Developmental or learning needs

    • Any special accommodations required

The Studio is not responsible for incidents related to undisclosed medical conditions or allergies.

4. Camp Activities & Safety Guidelines

Activities may include: painting, drawing, crafts, outdoor observation, nature exploration.

Instructors will review safety rules at the beginning of class.

Children are expected to:

  • Follow instructor directions

  • Respect other campers

  • Use art materials safely

  • Behave appropriately

Failure to follow safety rules or repeated disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from camp without refund.

5. Supervision & Pick-Up

  • Supervision is provided only during official camp hours.

  • Parents are responsible before drop-off and after pick-up.

  • Children must be dropped off and picked up on time.

  • Late pick-up fee: $50 per 20 minutes beyond agreed time.

Children will only be released to:

  • Parent / Legal Guardian

  • Authorized persons listed

Photo ID may be requested. The Studio cannot release children to unauthorized persons.

6. Personal Items

Recommended items: water bottle, hat, comfortable clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent.
Children under 5 may bring one comfort toy.

Avoid: valuables, electronics, toys.
The Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

7. Outdoor Activities

Children may participate in outdoor activities (all activities within camp boundaries).
All off-site activities will be conducted under staff supervision.

8. Artwork & Media Release

All artwork created during camp belongs to the child, but the Studio may photograph or display works.

Unless notified in writing, the Studio may use photos or videos of camp activities, including images of the Child, for:

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Promotional materials

  • Studio documentation

If you prefer that your child’s image not be used, please notify the Studio in advance.

9. Acknowledgment & Assumption of Risk

Participation in Summer Camp activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Minor cuts or bruises

  • Slips or falls

  • Allergic reactions

  • Accidents during supervised activities

  • Unforeseen medical emergencies

By signing this agreement, the Parent voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the Summer Camp program.

10. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Parent agrees to release and hold harmless Hillside Art Studio and its:

  • Owners

  • Instructors

  • Employees

  • Assistants

  • Volunteers

from any claims of injury, illness, loss, or damages arising from participation in the Summer Camp program.

This includes incidents occurring during:

  • Art activities

  • Games

  • Outdoor activities

The Studio will exercise reasonable care and supervision at all times.

This waiver does not apply in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

11. Agreement & Confirmation
